When Storybird was first introduced to me I was very eager to explore this resource more in depth. Storybird is a great online tool for educators for teaching and learning.
Storybird is a website where you can create your own stories using images provided by various artists. Students can create visually appealing representations of their knowledge on their own or, work with their classmates to develop a storybook. These stories then can be published for others to see on the website.
This is a great online tool to help students develop their language skills, especially reading comprehension and writing. There is an option for teachers and parents to pay to have the books printed. This resource allows students to showcase their creativity and feel a sense of accomplishment as their books can be read by others and/or printed for keepsakes. As a future educator I will definitely use this digital technology in the classroom to develop a more inclusive learning environment for students, teachers and parents.
