Project of Heart <3

Today in one of my education classes I was introduced to Project of Heart.

It is an organization which touches upon the history of Indian Residential Schools in Canada which commemorates the lives of thousands of Indigenous children who died as a result of the residential school experience. We had the opportunity to decorate commemoration tiles. There is a petition to reform Ontario's school curriculum to include the history of aboriginal peoples. With this profoundly sad history of residential schools, there is a huge opportunity here to teach the younger generations about culturally based equity.
